The Maine Lobster Festival is proud to continue its long-standing tradition of giving back to the Midcoast community. At the most recent board meeting, Festival leadership approved two new donations that support education and essential community services.

These awards reflect the Festival’s ongoing commitment to reinvesting proceeds into programs and organizations that strengthen the region and improve quality of life for local residents.

Supporting Student Learning Beyond the Classroom

A local high school student was awarded a $500 donation to support participation in an educational trip to Japan. The experience will allow the student to earn high school credits while gaining international exposure and cultural understanding.

Educational travel opportunities like this help students broaden their perspectives, build confidence and develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom. The Maine Lobster Festival is proud to support learning experiences that encourage academic growth and global awareness.

Helping Seniors Access In-Home Nursing Care

The Rockland District Nursing Association received a $1,000 donation to support its mission of providing in-home non-acute nursing services. These services primarily benefit low and moderate income seniors living in Rockland, Thomaston, South Thomaston, St. George, Owls Head, Cushing, Warren and Union.

This donation was part of the organization’s bi-annual fundraising efforts and will help ensure seniors in the community can continue to receive compassionate care in their own homes. The Festival is honored to support services that promote dignity, health and independence for older residents across the Midcoast.

A Festival Built on Giving Back

The Maine Lobster Festival is a nonprofit organization, and community support is at the heart of everything we do. All profits from the Festival are reinvested locally and distributed to organizations and initiatives that make a meaningful impact.

Over the years, Festival proceeds have supported local non-profits, school groups, scholarships, first responders, city projects and many other community needs. The Festival’s mission extends far beyond the summer event itself.

Thank You for Supporting the Community

Every lobster dinner served, every event attended and every volunteer hour contributes to this cycle of giving. The Maine Lobster Festival is grateful to its volunteers, sponsors and attendees who make it possible to give back year after year.

Together, we are not just celebrating Maine’s coastal heritage. We are investing in the people and organizations that keep our community strong.

If you or your organization would like to be considered for a donation, requests can be made on our website.
