The Maine Lobster Festival donated $2,000 to The American Legion and students of Oceanside High School at its recent Board of Directors meeting.

The American Legion Post #1, Rockland, Maine, received $1,500. The Legion will use the donation to complete the Midcoast Area Veterans Memorial Wall. The Memorial is dedicated to veterans and their families from all wars and conflicts. It is a place where the Midcoast Maine community can reflect on and honor the veterans in their lives. Veterans do not need to be deceased to have a tile placed on the wall.

The German Program at Oceanside High School received $500. A group of students at Oceanside High School will be traveling abroad in 2020 to Berlin, Prague, Krakow and Budapest. The donation will be divided among participating students who have previously volunteered at the Maine Lobster Festival.
