The Maine Lobster Festival has been on the map for more than 75 years, but we’re getting some extra love in 2023 from USA Today in its 10Best Contest for the Best Specialty Food Festival in the United States.

And you can help bump us to the top by voting every day until March 20!

We’re up against 19 other festivals around the U.S. including the Carne Asada Festival in Dallas, the Cheese Curd Festival in Wisconsin, and the Key Lime Festival in Florida, but we are the only Maine festival represented!

Why MLF is the best festival:

  • We support hard-working lobstermen who are, unlike any of the other contestants, part of an industry currently under siege. A vote for MLF will solidify the value that this small industry brings to an international community.
  • We’re locally produced and funded, with more than 1,100 volunteers each year. And in turn, all proceeds raised from the Festival are given directly back to Rockland area communities in the forms of donations, grants, scholarships and gifts.
  • You’re not going to see our type of entertainment anywhere else — from our Steins and Vines tasting event to our local music lineup to the hilarious and exciting International Great Crate Race.
  • Lobster is the only food in this USA Today 10Best Contest you can get sustainably and fresh from the Atlantic waters in New England. It is why nearly 100,000 people from all over the world journey to Rockland, Maine. After all this is a Food Festival Contest and nowhere else can you can dig into a just-caught, steaming hot lobster, or enjoy lobster rolls, lobster mac ’n cheese, lobster bisque, lobster stuffed risotto balls and lobster won-tons!

Hungry yet? The 10Best editors narrowed the field of Readers’ Choice Awards submissions to the final set of nominees. Readers can vote once per category, per day. So vote today and every day until March 20 to help Maine Lobster Festival claim No. 1!Send this link to your friends, family or anyone who loves Maine and lobster!
