One of Maine Lobster Festival’s most popular events, the 8th Annual Steins & Vines proudly features all Maine-made brews and wines — and new this year: hard ciders!

Entry into the Festival is free again; anyone over 21 can buy tickets to the Steins and Vines events. Because we like to have fun, Steins & Vines was extended to four sessions over two days last year. Due to the overwhelming response, we’re doing it again! There will be afternoon and evening sessions on Aug. 3 and 4.  Each ticket includes 12 tastings and a commemorative tasting glass.

The best part of this event is meeting the makers. As you take small sips, they will be happy to tell you what goes into their craft. Both locals and visitors alike enjoy meeting one another as well as these representatives from the breweries, vineyards and cideries that make up such unique and distinctive flavors from across the state and nearby.

Just down the street in Rockland, for example, you’ll find Rock Harbor Brewery, known for its ocean-themed brews such as the Breakwater Wheat and Storm Surge IPA; and Liberator Brewing Company, which specializes in some of the freshest small-batch lagers and ales. Travel up Route One to Lincolnville and you’ll experience the spectacular vineyards of Cellardoor Winery and its ever-popular Perfect Stranger (with aromas of Asian pear and crisp green apple). And just farther inland in Albion is Stone Tree Farm & Cidery, a small-batch winery and cidery whose Sweet Apple and Blueberry Pie ciders are quintessential Maine!
