Rockland, Maine spent five wonderful days enjoying succulent, local Maine lobster July 30 through August 3 at the 67th annual Maine Lobster Festival. Our volunteers had a great time meeting visitors from all over the country and even some guests who came even further.  Overall, we welcomed a total of about 36,000 visitors to Rockland for the Festival.

This year, our hard work saw a great amount of recognition. We welcomed a film crew from Thinkfactory Media to film the pilot episode of a cook-off show for a major television network, introduced our 2014 Maine Sea Goddess, live entertainment, and much more. The Maine Lobster Festival was also recently named in Fodor’s Travel’s Top 10 Best U.S. Summer Food Festivals for 2014.

As the description says, “Nothing says summer like indulging in lobster in New England, and the annual Maine Lobster Festival is one of the best ways to celebrate.” We couldn’t agree more. The Maine Lobster Festival is far more than a local festival; it’s a long-standing tradition for the coast of Maine, and a major vacation destination for seafood enthusiasts worldwide.

The Maine Lobster Festival is honored to be listed in the Fodor’s Travel “Top 10 Best U.S. Summer Food Festivals for 2014”. To get the Maine Lobster Festival experience, start planning your trip to Rockland, Maine for Wednesday, July 29 – Sunday, August 2, 2015 now.
