The Maine Lobster Festival welcomes thousands of people to Midcoast Maine every summer to celebrate Maine lobster and the local lobster industry. In order to make all aspects of our festival run properly, we rely on the hundreds of visitors and community members who volunteer year after year.
From our Board of Directors to the folks serving you delicious lobster dinners throughout Festival Week, all are volunteers who give their time and energy to make the Maine Lobster Festival run. For eleven months, our Board of Directors is busy planning for the upcoming festival. For three weeks prior to the festival, volunteers start to get the grounds set up to meet all of our visitors’ expectations upon arrival. All proceeds raised from the festival are given directly back to the Rockland area communities in the forms of donations, grants, scholarships, and gifts.
This is where you come in. We are looking for volunteers to sign up for the 68th annual Maine Lobster Festival and we have a job for everyone! Whether it’s helping to set up or taking down tents, cooking the thousands of lobsters we will serve this year, or taking tickets at one of the gates, we need your help. In return, you will receive one of our coveted Volunteer T-shirts and our eternal thanks for your hard work.
To sign up as a volunteer, fill out a Volunteer Form. Please be specific about the job you would like to help with, and we can make it happen. For any further questions about volunteering, please email [email protected].
