The Maine Lobster Festival has announced the new officers for 2018.

President: Cynthia Powell, pictured first from left. Cynthia was born and raised in Rockland, Maine, and volunteered with the festival throughout her childhood. In 2002 she returned home to Rockland and began volunteering again. She became a member of the Maine Lobster Festival in 2007. Cynthia was elected Director in 2012, and served as Vice President in 2015. This will be her second term as President.

Vice President: Michelle Hannan, pictured second from left. Michelle resides in Rockport with her husband, Bob, and has been a volunteer at the Maine Lobster Festival for more than 20 years. In addition to her role as Vice President, she is also the Vendor Coordinator. Michelle previously served on the board of 63 Washington St., a home for seniors in Camden. She is active in her community as part of the Keep Rockport Beautiful committee, Rockport’s 125th Celebration, and an organizer of several first-responder appreciation events. Michelle is a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where she has worked for 23 years.

Treasurer: Laurie Smith, pictured third from left. Laurie grew up in Owls Head and now lives in Rockland. She has been a volunteer at the Maine Lobster Festival for more than 15 years. Laurie was elected a director in 2006 and previously served as Secretary from 2012 to 2015. She also helps with volunteer scheduling and coordinates Steins & Vines, a tasting event of local brewers, vintners & distillers. This will be her first term as Treasurer.

Secretary: Barbara Toler, pictured fourth from left. Barbara was born and raised in Camden and has been volunteering her time at the festival for as long as she can remember. For many years she helped out behind the scenes, and this will be her third term as Secretary.
